Hi Guys

I am running FreeNAS 8 in a VM, I have 4 disks attached to a ZFS RAIDz Pool,
Firstly in FreeNAS 8 I can't see the sizes of the disks if I click view disk on the pool, also if I remove a disk and replace it with another I don't get a missing option under the removed disk and when I click replace disk and select the new disk the disk remains unknown and the pool never rebuilds ?

What VM are you running FreeNAS in, and how are the disks exposed to the VM?

I am running VMWARE Workstation 7.1.4,
Using Virtual Disks "VMDKS", I am not doing disk mapping, I am trying to test the system before I decide weather to implement it.

I also encountered a similar problem and so has others. Recently 'tekkie' created a ticket for it and in the comments a developper says it is fixed in the next beta. The ticket is located here (http://support.freenas.org/ticket/473)

I don't know VMWare that well, but are you disks exposed to FreeNAS as SCSI drives? And how big are they? What controller type are you using?
