Mounting CIFS in linux as guest

I've configured everything under the sun for guest access to a single CIFS share. It works in Windows, and I can browse and change from any computer. When mounting in linux it is giving me an error 13 permission denied.

I can see that I'm coming in as guest, and right now for the CIFS share I have my volume permissions as Owner(user):nobody and Owner(group):nogroup with read/write access for owner, group, and other. I have a guest account made (ID of 31 if that matters) and the guest is part of the nogroup part. I've also tried guest as the owner of everything with permissions on the volume and the share.

The options set on the CIFS share are allow guest access, browsable to network clients, and only allow guest access. The service itself has had guest and nobody as the guest account with no success. Allow empty passwords is also added.

Basically I'm just trying to get a unified access point free of permissions. Is there something I'm missing from the setup? Is there an easier way or a tutorial someone can refer me to? Any help would be appreciated! Also, more information is always available.

Can you test internet upload speed within Freenas?

So thankfully this is an off topic thread and this really is off topic. I'm looking for a way to test my upload internet speed completely unattended to any free server over the internet and from there if the upload speed is below a specific threshold then reboot my cable modem.

What I've been able to achieve so far is I can reboot the cable modem from within Windows using the "wget" program. I however cannot locate any method to test upload speed in a fully unattended way and then trigger the reboot. My batch file gets run at 4AM each morning right now but that doesn't help me troubleshoot the periodicity to try and find a root cause. The batch file also collects all the modem data, also using "wget" and saves it just before the reboot. If I could fix this in Windoze well I would do it there but I hear some rumblings about "iperf" in the linux world but I haven't seen a single example or reasonable reference on how to use it for what I'm looking for. I desire to test upload speed every 15 minutes for now and hope this gives my the granularity I need. The only problem I could see is if I get a low value because I'm performing an upload but that is a bridge I'll cross when I get to it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I greatly appreciate and pointers.

Greetings,

I'm looking for assistance getting Samba and ADS working.
I have it partly working but there is something wrong with showing "ALL" of the users in "getent passwd".
It only shows 2417 out of 9536 users.
And "getent group" shows no Active Directory Groups.
"wbinfo -u" shows 9536 users and "wbinfo -g" shows 5558 groups.
I've been googling around and haven't found a solution to this yet.

I'm using Nas4Free - 9.1.0.1 - Sandstorm (revision 636)
This comes with Samba - 3.6.12
I know this is the FreeNas forum. But I'm hoping that someone here has the expertise I need to figure this out.
I have posted in the Nas4Free forums as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Cody
Here is the output from wbinfo and getent
