I don't use any plugins.
Same setup, no issues on latest OS version. Still waiting on HD prices to drop... as now 3TB are crazy expensive. I have about 2TB of loose space on my NAS.
This is what I have, after the update:
FreeNAS-8.3.1-RELEASE-p2-x64 (r12686+b770da6)
I upgraded from 8.3.1 to 8.3.1-p2 without issues. :D
P2 is out few hours ago. Upgrading now... :)

Thanks Joe. When I originally built the pool I remeber checking the 4K box but I saw no options for the SSD cache. So I assume there is no way to align it from what cyberjock says, right?
I'm interested on this also. :)
I was intrigued by a comment made by Cyberjock.
Is there a way for me to align the drive to 4K? Thank you for your help.
You are not the only one, I had the same issue while upgrading way back from 8.0.2 to 8.0.4. I learned to live with it. :)
> I'd look into how you could fix the alignment of your writes on the SSD as this can cause premature aging.
Thanks!

OK Cyber, some nice updates. :)
First and most important, is been 3 days I'm free of AHCI timeouts. Upgrading the SSD firmware solved all issues, I used to get many warnings during the day. The...
Hi Cyber,
Don't worry my friend (about the "rude" part). :)
Based on my experience, the GUI upgrade does something to network configuration if you don't configure the cards into GUI or terminal...
It would be nice to have an option that disables moused.
Can you please let me know if is possible to disable it with an option in Sysctls or Tunables?
I upgraded yesterday to 8.3.1 from 8.3.0 and now I face the same issues I previously had. The load stays low for a while and then it jumps to 1.3-1.5. I'm not a happy camper, it is a pain to open the...
I successfully upgraded from 8.3.0 to 8.3.1, without any zpool issues mentioned above.
With my hardware, I noticed:
Freenas does not support crash info, /etc/rc warning is OK
Not sure if the...
Please, read the OP related to my memory findings.
Spoonfeed me? No thanks. Anyways, your above post is a "nice condensed" set of phrases having as end result more wasted time. The fact that you spent all this time to quote and format the reply...

Why don't you post something concise and effective, with a real example.... instead of more...
OK jgreco, I'm all years. I really don't expect to get 120MB/sec but if I will get more than 60MB/sec (constant, not variable like I explained before), I will be very happy... as this is the speed I...
William, I remember clearly that on 8.0.2 I used to be able to transfer easy at 75-80MB/sec to NAS and 115-120MB/sec from it with CIFS. Now the speeds are reduced to 45-50MB/sec to NAS and...
The memory increase and an SSD for cache will do miracles. Read my build story, check my signature. :)
I still struggle with the loss of data speed I used to have, while running FreeNAS 8.0.2...
Looks like something inherited from FreeBSD which I doubt it will be touched by devs...
The bug report was open 7 months ago, with no resolution so far. It sucks because for for the first 20 seconds...
OK, defining a specific extent size does fix the issue, so I can start the service and configure the iSCSI disk in Windows 8. However, the performance is not fantastic for me. I formatted the disk in...
Do I have to define it? I thought leaving it at 0 it will take whatever space is available in a dynamic way.
I get this in /var/log/messages:
