Thread: CIFS share with dropbox

    CIFS share with dropbox

Right now I have one giant ZFS Volume

    Partition1 /mnt/Partition1 2.6 TiB (73%) 963.2 GiB 3.6 TiB HEALTHY

    And 1 CIFS Share

    Media_Share /mnt/Partition1

    This contains 4 folders.
    Dropbox-Movies Dropbox-MiniSeries MiniSeries Movies

I have a MediaUser group which I would like only read MiniSeries and Movies. The MediaUser group should also have only Read/Write , no Delete, permissions to the Dropbox folders.

I have a MediaWriter group which should have full access to all the folders, much like it is configured now. I configured this via the FreeNAS documentation http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/CIF...al_User_Access

Right now guest access is disabled, and I would like to keep it that way.

Does anyone know how I would go about doing this?

You could have a group be r/o and the owner be r/w. Would this not work?
