How to import Mandriva Linux files into Freenas

    Hello
I am a newbee in freenas and I have some issues.
    -----------------------
    1. I have a Mandriva Linux server. Its a old version and probably I will change it to Freenas.
My doubt: can I use the Mandriva server HD without loosing data? Its about 1,2 Tb of data and I want to import everything to a brand new (and bigger) hd.
My server will be a Dell with 1gb ram (dont remember the model, I am not at office now) with a 2tb main disk. Actually this server uses 2 smaller HDs and I need to import them in a single Freenas 2Tb HD.
    -----------------------
    2. My network has PCs and Macs. I read freenas can share files with OSX, but can it share files with OS 9.2 ?? Yes, I still have some of them and can´t upgrade before I finish some old jobs.
    -----------------------
    Thanks for any help
    Edison

If it is ext2, you can import the volume without losing the data: http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Vol...orting_Volumes

You would be better off copying the data to FreeNAS and using a filesystem with native support (UFS/ZFS).

Thanks my friends, I will try this way as soon I put my system to work.
How about old macs, my network has PCs and Macs. I read freenas can share files with OSX, but can it share files with OS 9.2 ?? Yes, I still have some of them and can´t upgrade before I finish some old jobs.

Should support AFP, as long as your old Macs can speak AFP over TCP.

What problems are you running into?
