    Sleep my pretty

    Hi
Ive been looking for an affordable (free NAS solution for sometime now, and I think freeNas is a goer. Ive tested it out on VMware for a while and it seems to work well. But virtually rogering Amanda Kerr is not the same as rogering Amanda Kerr. So I set up a real freenas pc with spare bits a and pieces, (actually it’s a pretty fast dual core) and so far so good.

But I really wish it had a sleep timer after no activity, like windows has. I mean how hard could it be? IF no network activity THEN start timer THEN shut down.

Waking it up is no problem I just send the WOL magic packet to the NIC.

So far Freenas is a great os, and if the devs add this function I may donate my total bank balance! (unfortunaly it’s a minus figure).

    Cheers
